The Astralis Chamber Ensemble is an innovative and dynamic ensemble performing with much acclaim across the globe. Through creative programming and presentations on the works performed, Astralis aims to make classical music more accessible so that audiences can make a lasting connection to the music. These award-winning musicians represent decades of experience across many of the world’s major venues and concert series.
Angela Massey’s debut album has been described as “beautiful and enchanting…magical!”. As a flute soloist, she has been a featured guest artist with the Tryon Concert Association, Kosciusko Foundation in NYC, National Flute Association Convention and invited to perform a Vivaldi Piccolo Concerto with the SW Florida Symphony. She has also performed in England, France, Germany, Italy, Romania and Switzerland. Angela is the Artistic Director and Founder of Astralis Chamber Ensemble.
Cellist Megan Chartier has performed throughout North America and internationally in France, Germany and with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra in Russia. She is currently the Principal Cellist of Opera San Luis Obispo and core cellist of Astralis Chamber Ensemble. In recent seasons, she has served as Principal Cellist of the Miami Symphony Orchestra and the Pacific Region International Summer Music Academy. As a soloist, Ms. Chartier was named a semi-finalist in the PRISMA Concerto Competition and a winner of the Miami Music Festival Concerto Competition.
Pianist Chee-Hang See is a prize-winning performer who plays regularly with the Charleston Symphony, Chamber Music Charleston and in the Sandberg-See Duo with his wife, violinist Nina Sandberg. He holds degrees and diplomas from the Cleveland Institute of Music, College of Charleston, the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College London. He is currently faculty at Charleston Academy of Music, music director of Midtown Theater and assistant conductor of Holy City Arts and Lyric Opera.
