The Chamber Music Series: The Bartram Trail Mixed Chorus

May 15 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

|fe Free

The award winning Bartram Trail Mixed Chorus will present the Friday noon Chamber Music Concert.  For the past eighteen years, Bartram Trail choirs have been under the direction of Ms. Barbara Mattingly.  The choral groups regularly earn superior ratings in Florida Vocal Association adjudication.

In 2018, the Honor Choir was chosen  to sing in Manhattan Concert Production’s National Festival Choir in Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall and in 2019 to perform in Carnegie Hall.  Bartram’s choral students have been privileged to work with esteemed choral clinicians James Jordan, Amanda Quist, Eric Whitacre, Craig Jessop, Andrew Last, Jeffrey Redding, Brad Holmes and Nicole Lamartine, among others.

Choral Director Barbara Mattingly earned a BA in Music from the College of St. Catherine (St. Paul, Minnesota) and a Masters of Music Education from Florida State University.  She has been a choral music educator in the St. Johns County schools since 2000 and Minister of Music at Memorial Lutheran Church in St. Augustine since 1998.  Ms. Mattingly is active in the Florida Vocal Association, American Choral Directors Association and Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.

Romanza is thrilled to present this outstanding choir in a return visit to Festivale.
