HAWKE, the Humane Association of Wildlife Care and Education is hosting their 24th Annual “Dine on the Wild Side” Fundraiser Benefit on Saturday, May 12 at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. The public is invited to support HAWKE’s important ecological work through their attendance at this Saturday’s event – a day of fun and delicious food. Food will include entrees donated by Ned’s Southside Kitchen and the Gypsy Cab Company, salads from The Black Molly Grill with beer and wine available for purchase from the snack bar. During dinner, enjoy the music of the talented Jamie Defrates.
HAWKE, a professional facility since 1987, not only cares for owls and hawks but has special facilities for difficult and endangered species such as eagles, falcons, bobcats and river otters. HAWKE provides 24 hour care and rehab with the goal of releasing these species back to the wild. Donations and fundraisers are their main support.
Discounted Advance Dinner/Event Sale tickets are only $35 for ages 12 and up ($20 for age 5 – 11 with age 4 and under free if food is shared). Advance tickets can be purchased beginning April 16 at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm gift shop, Music Matters at Riverside Plaza and at the St. Johns Vet Clinic Pet Store on US 1 north of the Target Store. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.hawkewildlife.org.
On May 12, tickets can be purchased at the event beginning at 5 pm for $40 for ages 12 and up; $25 for ages 5 – 11; children 4 and under are free if they share food with a ticket holder.
