Linda Wills and Kathleen Vande Berg played their first piano four hands recital during Romanza Festivale 2014. Rehearsing and playing the concert was so much fun, they decided to keep on making music together. The recital will feature music by Bizet, Handel and Moszkowski.
They will be joined by French Horn, Susan McGee and soprano, Kandie Smith.
Susan has been playing French horn professionally for 35 years and has been a member of the Florida West Coast Symphony, the Southwest Florida Symphony and is a member of the Brevard Symphony Brass Quintet. She has taught privately for over 30 years and freelances all over the state of Florida. She is the handbell choir director for Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Augustine.
Kandie Smith received Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Vocal Performance and Opera from Stetson University, the University of British Columbia and the University of Cincinnati respectively. She has enjoyed a vibrant career in musical theater and operetta, singing leading roles in a variety of local, regional and international companies as well as soprano solos in oratorios. She has pursued her passion for singing into the academic arena and has taught at Stetson University and the University of North Florida. She is currently part of the academic team at St. Johns River State College and is an Instructor of Musical Theatre for Florida School of the Arts.
