The St. Augustine Art Association, founded in 1924, is presenting an exhibition called “Where Art Meets History”. The exhibit will be a culmination of a St. Augustine Plein Air Paint Out sponsored by the Art Association in April. The Paint Out is open to local, regional and national artists and is designed to capture St. Augustine’s colorful history.
The National Endowment for the Arts selected the St. Augustine Art Association to receive a $10,000 grant for this Third Annual St Augustine Plein Air Paint Out because it promotes community engagement through art. PleinAir Magazine is also a national sponsor.
Outstanding entries and the prizewinners will be hung in the exhibition at the Art Association during Festivale. Prizes will be awarded during the First Friday Art Walk on Friday, May 3, 2019.
Museum hours are: Tuesday through Saturday from 12 – 4 pm; Sunday from 2 – 5 pm; closed on Mondays.
